Which cookies are used by this site

By browsing the www.becagroup.it website, you will encounter different types of cookies, from those used by the browser to those utilized by this site, such as third-party technical cookies like Facebook, and occasionally Albacross and MailChimp. Below is the information for each third-party cookie we use.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
You can request its removal by writing to info@becagroup.it.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Contact form submissions to this website are collected and processed by us. By completing the contact form, you authorize us to contact you based on the legal grounds defined as “legitimate business interest”.
Your personal data is not used for marketing purposes unless you become an active customer, in which case we may contact you based on the legitimate business interest clause or in relation to your contract. Details of your request will be kept until the request has been resolved and then stored for statistical purposes.
Your data will be used by the company only for the purpose of responding to your request unless you have consented to receive marketing communications.
In this form, submitting information is voluntary and can be avoided simply by choosing to contact us through another channel (for example, by phone). Spontaneously entered data is copied into an email that we receive automatically and keep saved in our email clients, including: Mail, Gmail, and Thunderbird.

Newsletter Subscription

For subscription to the Beca Group newsletter, we do not require any information other than your email address. We do not perform any segmentation of subscribers. Entering the email address is optional and voluntary. The addresses we receive are entered into a database of the MailChimp newsletter tool. At this link, you can consult the policy and the ways in which MailChimp protects your data.
The database created on MailChimp is not sold, transferred, or shown to any person. It is occasionally exported in formats allowed by the application for internal consultation or for creating custom audiences on Facebook (which always remain anonymous). To learn more, you can consult the basic privacy information and Facebook’s data policy.
MailChimp is an online marketing platform owned by The Rocket Science Group LLC (USA, State of Georgia). MailChimp uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and process personal information about users.
At this link, you can find everything regarding the use of cookies by the platform: https://mailchimp.com/legal/cookies/

Facebook

Cookies used by Facebook collect information from people who:

  • have a Facebook account;
  • use Facebook products (including website and apps);
  • visit websites and apps that use Facebook products (such as the “Like” button or Facebook or related technologies).

The collected cookies allow Facebook to offer relevant products and information, or to improve their accuracy and performance.
For more information, please read the Facebook data policy.

Akismet anti-spam service

Akismet is currently disabled on this website.
We collect information about visitors who comment on websites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the user sets up Akismet for the website, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information provided directly by the commenter such as name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Preference storage cookies

Some cookies are used to store browsing preferences and improve, in terms of both speed and convenience, the user’s experience and navigation. These cookies sometimes relate to geolocation settings, language, currency, or storing the link to the website.

Sharing cookies and plug-ins
Plug-ins are installed on this website that allow connection and sharing of content with social networks and other external platforms. Some of these are clearly visible thanks to the presence of logos or the full name, as is the case with plug-ins for Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Vimeo, and other similar ones.
Clicking on the button/link and the subsequent sharing activity creates a connection between the user, browser, and server, in which user data may be collected regarding: the website, the date and time the action occurs, the IP address, the browser used, the device, and the operating system. Information is collected by the plug-in provider and can be transmitted even if the user is not registered on the platform in question. To prevent this from happening, it is possible to deactivate or block the use of java scripts from the browser in use for the relevant channels or for all channels.

This section includes:

WordPress-specific cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Technical and analytical cookies

This family includes cookies that collect data useful for processing statistical analyses on users and their browsing methods and times. These allow us to know, for example, when an anonymous person browses the site, with what device they browse, how long they stay on web pages, and the actions they perform (clicks, page closing, scrolling, downloads). Beca Group analyzes this data through the Matomo tool.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
As the name suggests, third-party cookies are collected and used by third-party companies. This is information collected during browsing sessions, during which users move from social networks to eCommerce sites, or sometimes from online advertisements to specific web pages. The collection of this data, which may also involve user tracking activities, usually has a commercial purpose and results in marketing activities (such as remarketing and retargeting).

Blocking cookies

On your first visit to our website, a privacy notice will appear at the bottom of the window. Click on “find out more”. You will be given the option to deactivate/activate marketing-related cookies.

How to deactivate cookies from the browser
Every browser allows you to manage or disable cookies through a specific section. However, deactivation could cause malfunctions on some websites. The Beca Group site, on the contrary, functions correctly even if you decide to deactivate cookies or browse in anonymous mode.
Usually, settings related to managing and disabling cookies are found in the menu, options, or preferences area of any browser, and this applies to both desktop and mobile devices.
Here are the direct links to change the settings of the main browsers:

Deleting cookies

You can also delete cookies already stored on your computer:
In Internet Explorer, you must manually delete cookie files;
In Firefox, you can delete cookies by first ensuring that cookies are deleted when you “clear private data” (this setting can be changed by clicking on “Tools”, “Options” and “Settings” in the “Private Data” box) and then clicking on “Clear Private Data” in the “Tools” menu.
In Safari you can delete cookies by selecting preferences, then privacy, then details and then remove all.
Obviously, this could have a negative impact on the usability of many websites.
Who we share your data with.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. All messages sent to us via a contact form on this website are sent via email directly to us for processing. We do not currently use an external monitoring system.
